Heike Bröckerhoff, born in 1987, studied Media and Cultural Science in Düsseldorf and Philosophy in Nantes, France.
In 2013, she graduated from the MA programme Performance Studies in Hamburg, a frame in which she realized the performative installation out of the blue into the black, Kampnagel, Hamburg in June 2013 and the thesis Reviving Memories - the body as a project in contemporary performing arts.
During her studies she participated in workshops with Boris Charmatz, Jonathan Burrows, Mette Ingvartsen, Vladimir Miller, Joao Fiadeiro, Bojana Kunst, Ana Vujanovic, among others.
Her artistic research traverses formats such as performances, performative installations, video and writing while participation is one of her recurrent concerns.
She organized performance festivals, co-initiated the philosophical-artistic platform Institut 5 and recently collaborated with Sasa Asentic in Revolution won't be performed, Kampnagel, Hamburg.
As a dramaturge, she collaborates with Ann-Kathrin Quednau in chronic hiccup (WT) and Jonas Woltemate in The Beat on Us (WT) that will both premiere in June 2014 at K3, Zentrum für Choreographie, Hamburg.
